Just wanted to share with you where I am now stationed for the next three years. I didn't want to go out and take pictures for myself for fear of being robbed or eaten by a wild pack of dogs (and no that wasn't a joke). These are google searched images but this is the REAL Naples, Italy.
It would take a pro-photoshopper to fix these images into the vision of Itlay I was thinking of when I re-enlisted to come here. Thank you Hollywood for disillusioning me when I signed more of my life away to Uncle Sam. I could have went to Germany instead.
So be prepared if you recently got orders to Naples or if you think you want to come and visit. If you have to come here for a length of time here is what I advise - save lots and lots of money so that the whole time your here you can leave and travel to the actual beautiful places in Europe. Trust me; I see it and smell it everyday and probably will for the next three years - this is Naples, Italy; my new duty station.
