I know I am late (I haven't been around the internet for a few days), but WTF...
How does that even make sense? I am a Leo in the east but a Virgo in the west? Recently a professor by the name of Parke Kunkle of the Minneapolis Community and Technical College says we've had it all wrong this whole time and the invention of the 13th zodiac sign, Ophiuchus - the serpent holder, was created for birthdays that land between Nov. 29th and Dec. 17th - totally WTF-ing the whole zodiac chart that we have all come to know and love whether we believe in it or not.
So let me get this straight; we didn't calculate the Earth's orbit correctly and the whole zodiac chart is off by as much as a month and this is supposed to have been public knowledge since 130 b.c.? Where have I been? Why does this new sign only matter if you’re born after 2009, is it because that is when the axis shifted? I am confused, is this new sign for astrology or for astronomy? I always thought that the zodiac sign charts were date specific at least when it came to your zodiac signs. Oh well, at least I am not one of those that has a tattoo so I don't particularly need to care about the reform or anything but it just goes to show you - you just can't place any creditability in anything anymore.If you care to shed any light upon the subject feel free to comment.
